Argh! This page is in serious need of updating. Please bear with me as I spend some time to compile a list of cool stuff. Thanks for your patience!
Many different books, CDs, and DVDs have blessed me over the years as I’ve grown to hunger after God. You can’t find Him and come into His presence via information — I’ve learned that the hard way — but you can read, listen, consider, and ponder on the things of God. This is how faith is built: layer by layer, testimony by testimony.
This growing list of stuff represents many hours of serious fun and deep enjoyment for me. May these products bless you as well!
This wonderful book by Mark Batterson of National Community Church in Washington, D.C., focuses on a tiny little story in the Bible about one of King David’s “Mighty Men”. Mark shows us how situations in life that might terrify one person into fearful inaction can inspire another person to step out in faith and accomplish the impossible. God can give every one of us the courage to become lion chasers. Let’s embrace the challenge!
My personal tastes in music aren’t generally anywhere close to the Pop/Rock sound of most “Christian Contemporary Worship” (and don’t even get me started on Gospel Music), but I love Matt Redman’s music because it has a certain U2-like meaty sound to it, his voice is really beautiful, and you can tell that he has spent a lot of time in fellowship with Jesus Christ because one can’t listen to his songs without experiencing a touch of the divine. Buy a copy, close your eyes, raise your hands, and worship God. And everything else will just melt away.
