    WOW, what an incredible shot, isnt this the same valley as a famous ansel adams photo. Incredible!

    Yes Liam, indeed it is. I got very lucky, as the previous day the sky was solid blue (still good for some things) and the next day it was very hazy and smoky — the start of almost a week of serious fire problems for California (there was some freak thunderstorm that set off 800 fires around the state). Even now, the air quality in my home area (Sonoma County, north of San Francisco) is poor.

    Hi Jared!
    Beautiful photo..I never get tired of Yosemite I can’t believe the number of people I know who live here in the valley and never visit such a grand place 1 hour away.
    Oh by the way, next time you are so close, stop in and say hi to the fam..we would love the visit ;-)

    Thanks, I’m glad you like the photo! Yeah, it’s crazy to live so close and not go there. I wish I could go there several times a year! Speaking of which, I should stop by and say Hi some time. :)
