Kris Vallotton of Bethel Church said something in a sermon I heard a while back that seared its way into my brain and has been really helpful for keeping me grounded in God’s eternal perspective. It went something like this: “don’t live by your circumstances, live by your stances.” Kris likes to say things in a quirky way, but I think that’s part of why this hit me so hard. Let me explain it this way: live by what you know is right according to God’s standards, not by what you feel is right at the time according to man’s standards.
The surest way out of temptation or depression is to declare the truth of God’s rhema word. It stands the test of time and trouble, and the stances you take will trump any circumstances.

Awesome post Jared! That is definitely a key point to living a victorious life, and standing strong against the enemy! God’s way is definitely better, if only more people strived to do it His way, the world would be a better place.
What is awesome to me is that we aren’t under the Law, but we still obey it because it works!
