Well, I’m a big whoppin’ 25 years old as of yesterday. For some people, that means they’re just getting started. For me, it’s a little different because I’ve been working for nearly fifteen years already. I was performing music professionally by the age of 11-12, ran my own freelance Web design business since 1997, and did a lot of other creative and technological stuff as various hobbies. I’m not saying all this to impress you, but rather to say that, in a certain sense, I already feel like I’ve lived a full life. I’ve not yet found the “girl of my dreams” and raised a family, but as far as my personal “ambitions” are concerned, I honestly could die tomorrow and have few regrets.
I think this time of year, not counting my birthday, is a good time to reflect on the things that really matter. I enjoy all the fun times and the gifts and the celebration as much as anyone, but truly, there’s only one reason to celebrate this day or any other day, and that is the fact that we can lift our eyes up to the heavens and commune with the living spirit of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I may still have many things I want to do in my life, and I of course hope I can live another 25 years times two or more, but in the end, my time is always of secondary concern to my ultimate and eternal destination. And I am thankful, as I enter my 26th year of life on earth, that I know where I am going.

Hey Jared! Happy Birthday! I always thought it would be terrible to have my birthday around Christmas. Don’t you get ripped off with presents? LOL, just kidding!
Happy Holidays!
