In a state to bless

One thing that’s struck me as I’ve been down here at the Doing Business Supernaturally conference put on by Extreme Prophetic is that so many people I’ve met are in a state to bless me. Notice I didn’t say “state of blessing”. I think sometimes we focus way too much on trying to be in the flow of God’s blessings and forget that the blessings we receive are in direct proportion to how much we are willing to bless others. Thankfully, most of the people here seem to “get it” and are living a lifestyle of wanting to be a blessing in other people’s lives.

As Christians, it is our business to perceive what is in the spiritual atmosphere of places and what is in men’s hearts — not to be nosy or rude, but to release the opposite, positive spirits that can negate the negative spirits that oppress people. When deception is removed, right relationship with God and man is possible.

First, I’m trying not to be jealous of your Extreme Prophetic conference. Did you get to meet Patricia King? I was watching one of her videos, and she prayed for people watching to receive the gift of tongues, and needless to say, I’ve been doing it ever since! Wow!

Second, and the real reason I’m commenting on this, your statement, “…the blessings we receive are in direct proportion to how much we are willing to bless others”, just brought a revelation into my spirit. I’m not going to go into detail, but I wanted to let you know that God just used you to teach me something.

Hey Justin, thanks for the comment. I’m honored that you found my quick little post helpful for your own journey.

And yes, I did get to meet Patricia King. This was the second time — the first was in June this year. She’s exactly the same in person as she is in the videos, and I’m not talking when she’s “on stage”. She mingles with all the conference goers and spends time with each person who approaches her. I’ve rarely seen anyone of her popular status, even in the church world, who is so personable and sincere.

And it’s amazing to hear about your receiving the gift of tongues through her video prayer! I received the gift when I was water baptized last year (I’ve been a Christian since I was a child but had not been baptized before that). My brother received it at a physical healing seminar when we had some “fun time” with the Holy Spirit. I love how it’s different for each person…there’s no formula or proper method to do it. It’s simply up to you and God. :)

I figured she was the same in person. She is so real on her videos. I just love seeing the joy that she has for God. It’s a shame that she had that controversy surrounding her. There have been times when some things seem pretty out there, but she always maintains her integrity, so it’s not my place to say what God is or isn’t doing. I couldn’t imagine getting a gemstone. I’d probably die right there on the spot.
