I drove up with some friends from our youth group at Grace Fellowship to come here to lovely (and hot) Redding, CA. Why? To attend an awesome, radical, and life-changing event: JesusCulture.
I’ll be blogging about the event and posting pictures over the next few days on our Grace blog, so head on over there and keep an eye out for updates. Admist all the fun and hoopla, JesusCulture exists for one thing and one thing only: to celebrate and worship Jesus like crazy and to launch a youth revival revolution that will take America back for God and set hearts on fire — a reversal of what happened 40 years ago in the “sexual revolution” and a continuation of what happened soon after that in the 70’s with the Jesus movement (which is when my mom got saved).
Unlike what some prognosticators have been saying, America is not doomed nor is God is a mood to cast it aside in a spirit of judgement. No, God is looking for a body of believers who have the courage and the vision to dream big dreams and have the spiritual stamina and perseverance to see them carried out. What if we believed that the flames of revival could turn entire cities back to God? It’s happened before. And it can happen again.
I’m believing it for Santa Rosa, CA, where I live. We’re a city blessed with an abundance of produce. But instead of just producing wine, what if we produced people who followed the True Vine? What if we could dream of a day when bread and wine weren’t only consumed at the winery tasting rooms but became the the bread and the wine of communion with Jesus Christ as His Church advanced to reclaim the land?
These are exciting times we live in for the Church. Don’t dismay, fellow Christians! You’re living in the greatest move of God that this planet has ever seen…and by all accounts, He’s only just beginning!
