Wow, I just read this impassioned post (more like a combination of hard-hitting essay and a cry of desperation) by Adrian Warnock over in the U.K., and it struck to the heart of everything that’s been rumbling through my head the past few months. I too want it all. I hate all the individual extremes — yet I want to be extreme in all those things that I know God cares deeply about. Why do we have to settle for bland, generic mediocrity on the one hand or on the other hand put on blinders and ignore everything outside of our tiny narrow frame of reference?
Lord, I want it all. I want prophecy with wisdom, compassion with temperance, teaching with faith, rules with freedom, diversity with unity, passion with discernment. I want Love AND Justice. I want Law AND Grace. I want to be radical AND reasonable.
Lord, I want it all!

[...] I already did the Best. Blog. Post. Ever. trick earlier this year, so I’ll just have to say I’ve read another awesome post that truly made me think how much responsibility we have as Christians to love one another. If a transsexual like Bobby’s friend can be touched by the love of God in that manner, anyone can. Which means that we always need to operate on the assumption that no-one is very far away from the power of the Almighty!
