I’m increasingly becoming convinced that one of the great ways God works is through causing us to meet the right people at the right time. It may not be some kind of flashy, “supernatural” kind of miracle, but it’s nevertheless one of the most important. Think of all the times in both the Old and New Testament where God directs people to be at a certain place at a certain time and to meet certain key somebodies. I believe He just loves to allow us to be part of his divine orchestration.

A couple of Sundays ago, I was talking with a friend at church, and somehow we got on the subject of prophetic art (i. e., art that is directly inspired by Heaven’s throne room and the heart of God and carries His powerful touch). I don’t even remember how it came up. My spiritual antenna always pricks up when thoughts or ideas come to the foray out of the blue with little or no preamble. Anyway, we got to talking and found out that we’d both been dreaming and praying about pretty much the same thing for months, independently, with little notion that the other was even interested in such a thing. We’ve both been carrying a burden to reach the people here in the New Age and creative communities of Sonoma County by bringing them into a place of light and love and beauty before the Master Artist. I had just started to get some concrete prophetic words on how to move forward with this vision when this conversation occurred, and it turns out my friend had also received the same (not the same exact concept, but the same mission).

We’re now beginning to put out heads together and figure out/pray about a plan of action for how to move forward, but I’m just bouncing off the walls in excitement and godly anticipation. Our church has always had a vision for small groups to be embedded in the community at large, amongst the public, sharing the supernatural power and love of Jesus Christ, and this might be the start of an awesome realization of that vision.
