Seems to me it’s pretty ironic to have a contest for people to design the successor to the popular Darwin fish sticker. Why can’t they just use a computer algorithm to simulate random mutations + natural selection in order for a successor to emerge? After all, “nature” has “designed” so many wondrous and mind-boggling structures within life all around us via evolution, so why not put that natural law to good use?
