I got back from Vancouver, B.C. a few days ago, and I’ve been super-busy working on a welcome video spot for my church’s upcoming Web site. Since we’re on a shoestring budget (i.e., $0), and I’m crazy, I’ve been doing the sound, the shooting, the editing, and the music (and the Web site for that matter!). Got the pastor and his son along with a lady who often does announcements to stand in front of the camera and run through our “manifesto” explaining what church is all about. It’s almost done, and I’m pretty excited about it — this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and never got the opportunity. I did make a mistake with the sound…I should have taken the time to readjust the microphone position when we changed our positions a bit, so there’s a variance of volume and hiss. Thankfully, with a bit more tweaking in Soundtrack Pro, I should be able to fix it well enough (especially with the background music to cover over a bit of noise here and there).
On a side note, some very awesome things happened to me since my last post about Vancouver, but I’ll save that for another time. Right now I’m heading off to our “Sunday worship experience” as LifeChurch.tv might call it.:)
