I just returned from a trip to Redding, CA where I attended the Jesus Culture / Encounter 2007 youth conference. Put on by those crazy dudes at Bethel Church, with the added dimension of hosting a healing crusade with Todd Bentley this year, it was one and a half days of spiritual mayhem. Imagine thousands of people, many of whom were in their teens and twenties, at an over-the-top, rock concert-like worship event where Jesus is the star. Wild! And as we all know that Jesus loves to show up at a good party in His honor, it was truly an unbelievable experience. I’ll write more about it in the coming days, but I can say with all honesty that my life will never be the same after this. God has a way of doing that to you sometimes!
