I’ve had a “humor” category on my blog here for a while, but I haven’t used it yet. I’m a reasonably funny guy off-the-cuff, but I’m horrible at telling jokes. Believe me…if I’m about to tell a joke, you should just shut me up ahead of time before I completely embarrass myself.
Rather, I’ll kick of this category by linking to my favorite comic strip: Pearls Before Swine. It used to be Dilbert, but I think Scott Adams lost the original early 90’s flavor the strip a few years ago and it’s too depressing now. There’s a difference between good-natured sarcasm and cynical pessimism.
That’s why I like Pearls: it has plenty of sarcasm, but it’s often just silly, with some of the most horrible, gut-wrenching puns you could imagine. Since I like puns, it’s great and very few days go by without a chuckle from yours truly. Might not be your cup o’ tea — but hey, that’s why humor is often an acquired taste.

Hey, I love Pearls Before Swine! Just thought I’d leave a comment (mainly because I didn’t see your email address :P) to let you know I posted a blog responding to your question at verge.lifepointblog.com. Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks.
