		<description>It's an interesting concept, to be sure. I can't claim that it's a strictly Biblical definition, but as the Bible talks about setting aside time to humble one's self before the Lord and be especially attentive to the good works He desires for us to accomplish, a lot of people lump that in with the idea of fasting.</description>

		<description>Amen! I like that you explained that fasting can be "refraining from doing something you normally do for a period of time".  I think most including myself for many years just presumed it was solely food.</description>
