Pilgrimage to Macworld

Next week, I’ll be going on my annual pilgrimage to the holy site of all true believers: Macworld. Yes, I mean believers in the One, True Way of Apple. All hail His Holiness, Steve Jobs the First!

Seriously though, I am excited to see what Apple has up its sleeve this year. 2006 was definitely the Year of the Mac, in which the Intel switch and impressive market share gain both helped to bolster the Mac’s improving image. I hope 2007 is the Year of New Stuff that will once again redefine who Apple is as a company. Should be quite fun.

What computer would Jesus use? ;)

Hi Jared. Yeah I’m really eager to see what happens in San Francisco too. Will come home Tuesday evening (that’s about 10am pacific) and will hopefully watch the webcast or follow the Macrumors coverage.
Jesus would probably denounce wordly posessions.

To respond to another reader about Jesus being the single only way while I preached the opposite: I think one should be careful about how one interprets these things. When I said that God is one, the paths are a many, I only wanted to express the necessity to accept and try to understand that people go different paths to search for truth. It is up to you and me to decide for myself where the path leads. You might believe that any path taken will and can only lead to Jesus Christ. While you hopefully understand that I can’t just bluntly agree to that as such, I cannot deny it either. Simply because God is to great to understand. The simple feeling of wantig to understand him is basically foolish. But it gives us comfort and hope, and keeps us going, isn’t it. That’s important. That is my philosophy.

Why, this very blog here is also just one path. The fewest of humans have ever reached the end of a goal. What is important is that we keep an open mind, and never let ourselves believe that we stand on top of things, or that we are in control. We always have to remember that there are things beyond our reach, and how we try to attain them, is to each his own. But essentially, it’s the same quest.

    Cheers.
